Facts (with source information): Narrative Report

What's so great about these records?
Thank God for those church records! When Louis was born there was no state of Missouri. The Louisiana Purchase had not yet happened. So, his family was not included in the U.S. census. AND, there were no birth certificates. When he was married no license was required. And when he died no death certificate was made out. But we still know a bit about him thanks to the excellent records of the Catholic church. So, learn a bit of French and enjoy these records from St. Ferdinand parish, Florissant, Missouri.
