What's so great about these records?
When he was born, birth records were not required in Omaha, Nebraska. And that diocese has decided that they will not make their sacramental records public. So, how do we know when and where he was born? The record of his marriage in St. Louis includes his birthday and says he was baptized in Omaha.  He provided that information. So, the marriage record is evidence of his birth place and date.

This record says he was baptized in Omaha, Nebraska.  Sadly, the Omaha church authorities will not allow their records to be shared on the Internet. So, I have not seen the baptism record. (The contemporary address for his parents probably is an error. Perhaps they lived on St. Louis Avenue in north St. Louis. There is no 4052 St. Louis street or avenue in St. Paul, KS.)
