1904 Burial
The birth date on the tombstone is incorrect. This is a new stone, possibly made after the cemetery was moved in 1951. That’s right! The Army Corps of Engineers moved the church and cemetery in 1951 because they were creating Delaware Lake Reservoir, and that project flooded the area where Marlborough Church stood. The current location is very peaceful. And you Stephens descendants have many ancestors buried here. The Main, Stratton, and Worline names are on many tombstones.
