The burial record from St Michel says he was the widower of Marguerite LeBlond. The Tanguay Collection says he married Marguerite LeBlond in 1728 at St. Valier.

Need to prove he was Joseph and Agnes’ son! Tanguay’s work is a secondary source, a reliable one, but not a primary record. The fact that Fr. Tanguay gives the exact date of Louis-Marie Fortin’s marriage suggests that he found the primary record. I have not yet found it. (A marriage record would have identified the groom’s parents.)
