They were married at L’Islet, Quebec. L’Islet is on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, 100 km east of Quebec City. The church there is called Notre Dame de Bonsecours.

Their son Joseph was born at L’Islet in 1739. There is a baptism record, but it is very, very difficult to read. Fortunately, Joseph’s marriage record documented his relationship to his parents (see the post for Joseph Thibault + Marie Josephe Derousse).
